A few weeks ago, Ashley's fiance's mom contacted me about a maternity shoot for Ashley and Travis. I was thrilled when she contacted me to photograph this special time in her son and future daughter in law's lives.
I've known Travis, Ashley's fiance, for years now. Throughout high school, we had many of the same friends. Travis always knew how to make someone laugh, and I found that to still be true during our session. I met Ashley in December 2011. She struck me as sweet, understanding, driven and a great listener. We talked the night that we met, about her love of children and teaching young children. When I found out that Ashley and Travis were pregnant, I knew without a doubt, that they would be wonderful parents. Travis and Ashley balance each other out, they support each other, and work together as a team. I had so much fun shooting Ashley's maternity pictures and getting to know her and Travis better.
Their baby girl, Ella, will have wonderful parents, and I can't wait to see her grow into a beautiful young woman.
Check out some of my favorites from Ashley's maternity session!

Katie & Eric: Engagement Shoot [Spartanburg, SC Engagement Photographer]
I was so excited when Katie contacted me several months ago about shooting her and Eric's engagement pictures. I have known Katie and Eric since our freshmen year in college. Eric was one of the first people I met at Wofford, and I met Katie a few short weeks later when she made a visit to see Eric at Wofford. The first time I saw Eric and Katie together, it was evident that they shared a genuine love for each other. That same genuine love was just as strong during their engagement shoot. Katie and Eric were both naturals in front of the camera! Their dog Scooter (a boston terrier, naturally) joined us for some photos too! I had a great time shooting their engagement photos downtown Spartanburg and at Wofford, check out some of my favorites!
One of the things I love most about this next picture is the look on Eric's face. You can see just how much he loves and adores Katie!
Katie is about to begin her first year of teaching. She had the creative idea to incorporate both of hers and Eric's professions into the shoot. I absolutely love this idea!
When Katie mentioned that she would like to have some photos taken at Wofford Ibegged suggested we venture down to the railroad tracks behind the baseball stadium. As a freshman at Wofford, I have eyed the railroad tracks with 'Wofford' written across the bottom as a perfect location for pictures. I was ecstatic when I was able to snap a couple of shots as the sun was setting!
Eric played football for Wofford, so we also ventured down to the football field to get a few shots.
Katie attended the University of Georgia for undergrad. Needless to say 'dawg' football was definitely something she experienced every weekend one way or another!
Katie and Eric - I wish you a lifetime of happiness. You two are perfect for each other!
